Why do you wear a belt and
the dog a racing harness?
The belt and line plus racing harness removes all the shocks from your

to pull from the strong chest muscles and not be dragged by the neck.

No if your dog runs to heel and there is no pull on the line/collar, then
you don't need all the gear, but the belt allows you run hands free.
