CaniX will be returning to DFS Crufts in 2010 to promote keeping fit with Fido and a healthy lifestyle for you and your dog. This will be the 3rd DFS Crufts CaniX. CaniX and the KC have agreed an ongoing commitment until 2011 to work together on this common goal. With More4 broadcasting three 1hr shows Thursday to Saturday and a 2hr show on the Sunday together with live web streaming from the main Arena to the world by Sunset+Vine, there is no better way than to lead by example.

Bikejor has now been included at selected CaniX UK events with points awarded towards the first UK Bikejor Championship. CALENDAR

New classes for 2009/10 season Minimum age has been reduced to 7 (age at 31 May at the end of the season) and under 19s have been split into 6 classes (Cubs/Juniors/Teens in M+F). The over 50s class has been split into two (50 to 59 - Veterans M+F) with a new class for the over 60s (Super Vets M+F). Bikejor (M+F) has it's debut season (at selected events). MORE

CaniX: Keep Fit with Fido

CaniX UK is spearheading a keep fit campaign to benefit both canines and humans – all levels are catered for. Launched at Crufts 2009 called CaniX: Keep Fit with Fido. 25,000 leaflets have been inserted into the Crufts Show Guide, with a further 35,000 for distribution over the coming year DOWNLOAD LEAFLET.

In conjunction with Natural England’s green exercise initiative in Swindon, CaniX UK is setting up a pilot CaniX scheme at grass roots level. As well as several permanent courses across the borough, regular training sessions will be organised to make CaniX easily accessible to all. Following appraisal more schemes will be set-up across the country.

CaniX UK has won it's bib to host the 15th European CaniX Championships in the UK in 2012 to coincide with the London Olympics.

Exeter Racecourse has been chosen as the venue.

CaniX UK is the official body for cani-cross in the UK and the UK representative of the European Cani-Cross Federation (ECF) affiliated to 10 countries. Every October CaniX UK take a team to the European Championships.

For the past five years CaniX UK have been running events throughout the the UK, going from strength to strength. From the Scottish borders to Cornwall, Kent to Wales, events are held in the winter (Sep to May). CaniX UK organised the first UK Championships in 2007 which have been held at Cheltenham Racecourse each year since then.

In conjunction with Natural England’s green exercise initiative in Swindon, CaniX UK is setting up a pilot CaniX scheme at grass roots level. As well as several permanent courses across the borough, regular training sessions will be organised to make CaniX easily accessible to all. Following appraisal more schemes will be set-up across the country.
